A couple of weekends ago we went up to Winslow for Fall break to spend some time with our good friends. Above is Anna FINALLY being able to sit facing forward in the car!!! We've been waiting for her to hit 20 pounds and she finally did:)
It is a 3 hour trip, both kiddos conked out:)

One day we all drove to a stream near some camping sites and played in the stream, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and collected fall items. Above is Anna and Sam LOVING the water.

In the first video Isaac is becoming a master craftsman! He is better at hammering than me (not hard to do:) The next two are of Anna, the one with her walking was at the beginning of the month she can walk much quicker now. Her dress is tucked in on purpose so she could climb the equipment better. The bottom one is anna learning to eat with a spoon.

This year we had Isaac's b-day party at McDonalds! We had a blast. It took many times for him to blow out is candles this year, apparently four is way harder than three or two:)

Anna is a major CLIMBER! She climbs anything, she can even get onto the couch all by herself now, and luckily knows how to turn around and get herself down safely too! She has 6 teeth now and is still not quite 20 pounds (we are waiting impatiently for that milestone, because then we can face her forward in the car, she gets pretty carsick at times). She ADORES her daddy and her face lights up any time he enters the room. She is a smart little one that is for sure.
Here is a video of her first steps, she is walking better than this now, but still crawls often. Every day she chooses to walk a little more, I know it is just a matter of time before she is off and running:)

Isaac's First Day of School!

First Day of Preschool!!! (Like our Awesome chili pepper plant:)

Isaac is going 3 1/2 days a week to a wonderful teacher's house. Here he is the first day walking up to the front door. Notice he is WAY in front of us and has no fear, only excitement!
He's been going to school for 3 weeks now and LOVES it. Every day starting around 8AM he is asking if it is time to go to school yet like EVERY minute! I finally had to teach him how to 'read' the clock and not to ask me until the big hand is on the 9!

Raymond Wildlife Area

Haberkorn + Harris = Adventure! This time around it was the Raymond wildlife area. On the internet it was advertised as having buffalo, prairie dogs and a plethora of other wildlife. However, after the 9 mile drive on a back dirt road no wild life did we see. However Luckily for us we just love being together and love the outdoors. It was a beautiful area and even though it was in the 90's we still hiked up the mini mountain.

When we got home and actually read the brochure we got at the place it said now is the best time to see buffalo, just bring your blind and telescopic lens and come super early! Ha... I can just see us now. Shhh... children don't scare away the buffalo:)

4th of July in Winslow Arizona!

We love going to Winslow for the fourth of July! The fireworks show is a big production there. There is even a 'half time' so the launchers can cool down and then there is more. Isaac LOVED them. He was just staring at them and laughing in pure joy. It was way past Anna's bedtime, she did great the first half then fought conking out on my shoulder the second half. In the picture above is Jen Harris, Jack, Isaac, Ted Harris, and us. Fred, Jen's husband is taking the pic so we didn't get him in it. The other plus about Winslow is that it was actually kind of 'chilly'!!! YEAH we LOVE weather like that right now:) Of course our favorite part is our friends the Harris's

Matt brought home some Saguaro Fruit from one of his hikes. It is quite delicious! They grow at the very top of the cactus so he needs to use a huge stick to get them down.

Anna Update

Let's see, Anna loves: beans, raspberries, drinking from her sippy cup,baths, swimming, dancing, climbing, using her walker to 'walk', waking up at the crack of dawn, her daddy, her pacifier, playing with Camden, and playing outside in the sand. Her favorite word to say is Hi. She also says mommy, daddy, God (while we are praying) and more recently Thank you. She is a very social and happy baby. She is extremely SMART and tries to use her cuteness to get out of trouble. yes she does get in trouble. Most often for throwing her cup on the floor or turning the TV off and on. Her one year Doctor appt. went well. She weighs 18.4 pounds She is small for her age just like Isaac so she doesn't get to face forward in her car seat for awhile, which is a bummer since we are pretty sure she gets car sick:( She is very close to walking and will sometimes stand with out holding on to anything. All in all she is our precious baby girl and we love her so much! Enjoy the birthday pictures.

Now that Anna can climb out the patio door all on her own there has been a whole new world of play things opened up to her. Friday she discovered the sand and water table. As you can tell she is VERY happy to be a part of such a 'big person' toy.
Hmmm...This is when we had to call it quits. I figured after one bite of sand she would just not like it and stop eating it, but the opposite effect happened. She just kept eating it. Thankfully Matt and I have a strict family rule that our kids should eat sand or dirt at least once to help strengthen their immune system. (this has worked wonders for Isaac who has hardly ever been sick)
After this we decided to clean off under the outdoor faucet and in for a bath one of her FAVORITE things. I'm pretty sure she had a GREAT afternoon:)

Well, for some reason when you get the Haberkorn's together with the Harris's it is ALWAYS an adventure! First of all we decided to let the three older kids have a sleepover in the same room...hmmm...they were up until 11:30 and then up again at 6:30! YIKES... and these are kids that normally get 12 hours of sleep a night. So I guess we learned our lesson, a 2, 3, and 5 year old are a little too young for sleep overs. But never fear that did not stop us from have a large outing the next day. Here are the pictures from the day after the sleepover. We went to Mormon lake near Flagstaff and boy was it WINDY!! We all did have a blast though even amongst sleep deprived whiny children:)
This owl is the biggest owl in the world and in it's natural habitat preys on deer!!! SCARY! and yes, it was real.
we headed to the only restaraunt around to get out of the wind and found out the power was out! So all they had to offer was candle light, coffee or tea. We said yes anything to get out of this wind. They were serving hamb. and hotdogs outside so we just brought them in to our table.
Here is Isaac's best pouty face that was on much of the day but we knew he was soooo tired and that was our fault. Anna and Isaac slept all the way home 2.5 hours!

Here's a good shot of her two bottom front teeth and, of course, a cheerio in her mouth:) She now has three teeth with at least three more on their way in. She decided to get all of them at once. She has also finally graduated to size 6-9 month and 9 month clothes! Time to pack away the old and shop for the new!

Matt took Isaac to the store and had him pick out flowers for me. He looked carefully at all of them and chose purple calla lilies. It was so sweet. I thought he picked them out because purple is my favorite color, but when asked why he chose those flowers he pointed to the yellow center and said "because they have these cool things in them:)" How cute.

It is so cute how Anna sleeps with her little butt in the air. Since this picture we have totally stopped swaddling her so now she has grown out of one more stage. She is getting bigger and bigger way too fast! I know I will always cherish this picture. How priceless. Pure innocence.

Two Friday's ago we hit the World Wildlife Zoo with 7 adults and 9 kids...give or take:) We had a GREAT time. Anna holding hands with his new friend Isabella! How cute, she was so happy he would hold her hand.

Here is a couple pics of Anna and Camden. Not that you could tell but Camden is actually 5 months younger than Anna:) They LOVE each other. Whenever he comes over Anna just smiles and laughs and crawls right over to him.
